Mr. Murphy

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will issue guidance to local authorities on the implications of the right-to-buy provisions of the Housing Act 1980 for the administration of existing arrangements for communal television and radio relay systems.

Mr. Stanley

I am not aware of any requirement by local authorities generally for such guidance. However, if my hon. Friend would care to write to me, I am ready to consider this question.
