§ Mr. McCrindleasked the Secretary of State for Energy what representations he has received from oil companies urging a change in the role and functions of the British National Oil Corporation; and what has been his response.
§ Mr. GrayOil companies from time to time make representations to me about the role and function of the BNOC in relation to the details of their participation agreements, to which I am a party. Certain companies have expressed views about the general role of BNOC in response to questions put by the Select Committee on Energy. I shall await the Committee's conclusions with much interest.
