§ Mr. Peter WalkerI answer a variety of parliamentary questions on this topic and in each case I take account of all relevant considerations appropriate to the particular question. As I have said on many occasions, estimates of the impact of the common agricultural policy on food prices can be attempted only by making hypothetical assumptions about the policy which would have been pursued had we not been a member of the European Community.
