§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Transport whether, in view of the considerable expenditure incurred by local authorities in having to repair pedestrian pavements following damage caused by cars and lorries being parked thereon, he will introduce legislation to enable local authorities to claim such expenditures from the owners or drivers of these vehicles.
