The Manpower Services Commission is currently reviewing its policies on training award schemes and no 158W decisions have yet been taken about support after August 1983. The views of the engineering industry training board and other interested organisations are being sought.

The Manpower Services Commission will be ready to advise engineering group training associations and others who wish to ensure that schemes meet the criteria far the youth training scheme.
