Households (Assistance) (Hansard, 20 April 1983)

§ Mr. Alfred Morris
asked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) if he will list the number of households and the rate per 1,000 population in each region who received assistance with the payment of telephone rentals in 1981–82;
(2) if he will list the number of households and the rate per 1,000 population in each region who received assistance with the installation of telephones in 1981–82;

students for travel expenses in excess of the £50 a year allowed for in calculating the maintenance award.; the amounts of these payments were as follows:
(3) if he will list the number of households containing disabled children and the rate per 1,000 child population in each region who received assistance with adaptations to the home in 1981–82;
(4) if he will list the number of households containing disabled children and the rate per 1,000 child population in each region who received assistance with the provision of aids in 1981–82.

The information is not available for Borders, Dumfries and Galloway, Fife, Strathclyde, Orkney, Shetland or Western Isles. Provisional figures relating to the other five regionss are contained in the table:
