§ Mr. Newensasked the Secretary of State for Defence what steps are taken to prevent officers and former officers in Her Majesty's forces from entering the service of other Governments without the requisite prior approval of the Defence Council; and if he will consider introducing additional measures.
§ Mr. WigginOfficers considering entering the service of a foreign country are given guidance in Queens Regulations and by their respective service personnel authorities about the procedures to be followed. I do not believe that it is necessary to introduce any additional measures.
