Dogs and cats imported from China are subject to the same requirements as for other countries, that is valid health certificates, import permits and six-month quarantine. Cattle, pigs, sheep and goats imported for slaughter are subject to health and well-being examination at points of entry before being directed to Government lairages or depots where they are confined until slaughter.
