§ Mr. John MacKay[pursuant to his reply, 31 March 1983, c. 233]: Reliable data are not available; but such information as we have suggests that in 1980 the number of women treated for self-poisoning in Scottish hospitals may have been about 65 per cent. greater than the number of men in this age range.
