§ Mr. HayhoeSince June 1979, 133 departmental scrutinies and 6 multi-department reviews have been carried out in association with Lord Rayner. These have identified total potential savings and extra income of £400 million a year and £56 million once-and-for-all. So far, firm decisions have been taken to implement recommendations which will achieve savings and extra income of £180 million and £29 million once-and-for-all.
