§ Mr. WaldegraveThe chief executive of the London borough of Newham wrote to my right hon. Friend on 19 May 1980. The Department has subsequently sought clarification of various issues in the light of changing circumstances. My right hon. Friend expects to be able to come to a view on the issues involved very shortly.

Member for Newham North West together with a letter and paper dated 23 March POL/PA from the chief executive of the London borough of Newham regarding a compulsory purchase order in connection with the development of the North-East London polytechnic; and whether he will make a statement.
