§ Dr. Summerskillasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many(a)injuries at work and(b)deaths following accidents at work, have been reported among those taking part in youth opportunity programmes.
§ Mr. Peter MorrisonDuring the period July 1981 to June 1982, when over 500,000 people entered the youth opportunities programme, there were five fatalities, 103 serious injuries and 3,403 minor injuries amongst those taking part in the programme.
§ Mr. Radiceasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will introduce legislation to provide that those on youth opportunities programme schemes may not be discriminated against on racial or sexual grounds.
