§ Mr. Fieldasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will give equivalent publicity to the contents of the third paragraph of the letter, concerning instructions to visiting officers, which he wrote to the hon. Member for Birkenhead dated 8 October, bearing in mind the circulation given to the footnote appended to reg. (SB) 6/81 which it is intended to replace.
§ Mr. NewtonCommissioners' reported decisions are distributed free of charge to senior chairmen and chairmen of supplementary benefit appeal tribunals and to supplementary benefit officers. I have asked that a note setting out the substance of my letter of 8 October to the hon. Member be similarly issued.
