§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsThe latest available figures relate to July 1982. In the Shotton TTWA a total of 6,656 males were unemployed, of whom 2,712 were out of work for over six months, 1,687 for over one year and 1,367 for over two years. It was in recognition of the problems of the long term unemployed that the Government has provided the Manpower Services Commission with the resources for the new community programme.
