Mr. Hayhoe

The Government's observations on the fourth report from the Select Committee on the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration, Session 1979–80, were published in June 1981 (Cmnd. 8274). As indicated in that response, the Government have been studying ways in which the Parliamentary Commissioner's jurisdiction could be extended to cover complaints from specialists recruited for the service of overseas Governments by the Overseas Development Administration. The issues involved have proved extremely complex but I hope that decisions will be made soon.
