§ Mr. McTaggartasked the Secretary of State for Transport (1) if he will introduce legislation at the earliest date requiring that all new cars sold in the United Kingdom must be made to run on lead-free petrol;
(2) if he will ensure a phasing out over a generation of cars the use of lead in petrol for existing cars;
(3) if he will introduce legislation to ensure that all petrol stations have lead-free petrol available for sale.
