HC Deb 28 October 1982 vol 29 c515W
Mr. Wrigglesworth

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what United Kingdom participation there is in the European space programme; and whether this will be increased in future.

Mr. Butcher

In 1981–82 the United Kingdom's contribution to the European Space Agency was some £61.5 million. £53.2 million from my Department and £8.3 million from the Science and Engineering Research Council. I expect future participation to remain at around this level.
