§ 23. Mr. Rentonasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he is satisfied with progress to date on phase I of the new Mid-Sussex district general hospital.
§ Mr. Kenneth Clarke:Yes. Progress on the planning of the first phase of the Mid-Sussex development is proceeding satisfactorily with a view to building work starting in 1985. However, the south-west Thames RHA's capital programme as at present planned is heavily over-committed and will be reviewed by the region later this year. Whilst there is no suggestion at present that this scheme will suffer any delay, the RHA needs to look critically at all schemes in the light of the resources likely to be available.
