§ Mr. Proctorasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if, in the light of the results of the elections for the Northern Ireland Assembly, he will make a statement on his future policy with regard to the government of Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. Prior:The Government's policy remains as set out in Parliament this summer. For the first time for eight years Northern Ireland has an elected Assembly which, from the outset, will have a vital task in scrutinising the operation of direct rule.
