§ Mr. Wigleyasked the Secretary of State for Industry if he will publish the most recent estimate of annual demand for primary aluminium products within the European Economic Community; and how this compares with current annual primary aluminium production outside the European Economic Community.
§ Mr. MacGregor:Consumption of primary aluminium in the European Community in 1981 was 2.7 million tonnes. Production of primary aluminium by countries outside the Community in that year was estimated at 13.5 million tonnes.
