§ Mrs. Chalker:I have not received evidence of widespread avoidance of motor tax payments by itinerants. In the campaigns to counteract vehicle excise duty evasion we deal with all group of evaders.
§ Mr. Pawseyasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will seek to provide more effective control machinery to assist the police to prosecute successfully in the case of motor tax avoidance offences committed by itinerants.
