§ Mr. John MacKay:I am advised that the risk of an apparently normal infant suffering a severe neurological reaction following vaccination against whooping cough is about 1 in 110,000 immunisations; and that the risk of such vaccination resulting in permanent brain damage is about 1 in 310,000 immunisations.
