§ Mrs. Chalker:In the last two years my Department has considerably increased its enforcement effort. In particular, with the help of many police forces and local authorities, intensive local campaigns have been and continue to be mounted. They have been very successful, not only in catching evaders but in deterring others from evading. As my hon. Friend may have noted, the Metropolitan Police and City of London police are mounting such a campaign at the present time.
