§ Mr. David Steelasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what are the plans of the Scottish Education Department in relation to the intake of youth and community courses as from session 1983–84; what will be their effect on the output of youth and community workers; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. YoungerI am consulting the bodies concerned about a proposal that the intake to these courses should be reduced as from the 1983–84 session. I shall reach a final decision when I have considered their comments.
