asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many jobs have been lost in the following industries in Dundee in each of the past four years: (a) engineering and (b) construction.

[pursuant to his reply, 29 November 1982, c. 9.]: Comprehensive information about job losses in the engineering and construction industries is not available. The following table gives the numbers of jobs lost through redundancies affecting 10 or more people notified to the Manpower Services Commission as due to occur in these industries in Dundee during each of the past four years:
