Mr. Foster

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what was the level of manufacturing investment in the Northern Region for each year since 1975.

† The Standard Industrial Classification (Revised 1980) is replacing the Standard Industrial Classification (Revised 1968) in economic statistics. The revised definition of manufacturing in the new classification is not precisely equivalent to the earlier definition.
