asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he has made any estimate of the level of gross national product attributable to Scotland for each year since 1979.

Official estimates of gross national product by region are not available. But the estimated levels of gross domestic product in Scotland in 1979, 1980 and 1981 are estimated at £14,677 million, £16,718 million and £18,146 million, respectively. Later estimates are not available.
