HC Deb 30 November 1982 vol 33 c168W
Sir Paul Bryan

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what is the result of the poll on Aujeszky's disease.

Mr. Peter Walker

The details are as follows:

Mr. Peter Walker

[pursuant to his reply, 22 November 1982, c. 395–6]: The amount of grant aid to cooperatives provided by the central council for agricultural and horticultural co-operation since its establishment in 1967 is shown in column A of the following table. The council does not make loans to co-operatives. Column B of the table shows the amount of administrative expenditure incurred by the central council in carrying out its statutory function under the Agriculture Act 1967 of encouraging all forms of agricultural co-operation. There are no projections for expenditure in future years because, subject to Parliamentary approval, the functions of the council will shortly be transferred to Food from Britain.
