HC Deb 29 November 1982 vol 33 c93W
Mr. Marlow

asked the Lord President of the Council why it is not the practice to disclose the names of suppliers to the House; and whether he will change the practice.

Mr. Charles Irving

I have been asked to reply.

Suppliers to the Refreshment Department are required to undertake not to make use for advertising purposes of the fact that they supply the House of Commons. To disclose the names of suppliers would conflict with this policy, which it is intended to maintain.
