HC Deb 29 November 1982 vol 33 cc64-5W
Mr. Rooker

asked the Minister for Trade if he will make a statement regarding the latest position on the proposed code of practice for the holiday caravan industry.

Dr. Vaughan

[pursuant to the reply, 26 November 1982, c. 589.]: I understand that unless the trade associations put forward new proposals the Director-General is not continuing his discussions about a code of practice until he receives the report of the Monopolies and Mergers Commission on holiday caravans in Northern Ireland. When he has this report he will consider whether or not to reopen discussions on a United Kingdom code of practice.
