§ Mr. RossiProvisional statistics for 1979–80—the latest available—show that some 25.4 million people, 601W inluding women paying contributions at the reduced rate, paid class 1 or class 2 contributions in the United Kingdom at some time during the year. Of these, 14 million or 55 per cent. were not contracted-out at any time during the year.
