§ Dr. Roger Thomasasked the Secretary of State for Wales if he will ensure that medical, nursing and other supportive staff at the St David's hospital Carmarthen, have amongst their numbers sufficient people who are Welsh speakers in order to be able to deal effectively through the medium of the Welsh language with patients who prefer being interviewed and given psychotherapy through their native language.
§ Mr. Wyn RobertsThis is a matter for the health authority. All authorities in Wales are aware of the importance of the use of the Welsh language, where appropriate, in the treatment of patients.
