Member for Melton on 9 November, Official Report c. 105, she will now outline the specific action which the United Kingdom has asked the European Community to undertake regarding the new French domestic protection campaign; and within what specific time scale she asked for action to be taken.
§ The Prime MinisterI made our concern very clear during the recent Anglo-French summit; we could not accept measures which would disrupt our exports to France. The Commission is now preparing proceedings against the French Government for possible breach of the Treaty of Rome, and we expect the matter to be treated urgently.
