Bennettasked the Prime Minister if Her Majesty's Government will institute a published analysis of what food, clothing, heating, cleaning materials and other necessities may be afforded by those at particular levels of elegibility, and of the amounts remaining for expenditure on such items as travel to relatives and presents to children.
§ The Prime MinisterThere already exists, in the family expenditure survey a detailed analysis of household expenditure. Analysis of the FES data shows how households at different levels of income, including retired households mainly dependent on State pensions, spend their money.
