§ Dr. Mawhinneyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what action he proposes to take on the four reports recently submitted by the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council.
§ Mr. RossiI can announce today the publication of two reports by the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council on "Occupational Deafness", Cmnd. 8749, and "Asbestos Related Diseases without Asbestosis", Cmnd. 8750. We are considering the recommendations contained in these reports very carefully and the Government's response will be announced in due course. We are also considering the council's recommendations on streptococcus suis and extrinsic allergic alveolitis, although, because these reports are short and of limited interest we do not propose that they should be published as Command Papers.
