§ Mr. Andrew F. Bennettasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will issue guidelines to police forces on dealing with the problems of abuse of elderly people by their relatives.
§ Mr. MayhewWhere allegations of criminal activity are reported to the police, appropriate action will be taken. We have no evidence to suggest that the issue of guidance to chief officers on this subject is called for, but if the hon. Member has any specific case in mind we should be willing to consider it.
