What legislative and administrative steps they propose in order to restore parity of arrangements for severance payments between Members of the Westminster and European Parliaments.

Lord Elton

Primary legislation to amend the European Assembly (Pay and Pensions) Act 1979 would be necessary to bring the severance arrangements for Members of the European Parliament into line with those for Westminster MPs. The Government have no present plans to introduce such legislation.
