§ Mr. EyreMy right hon. Friend announced in a written answer on 26 July 1982—[Vol. 28, c.418–19.]—to my hon. Friend the Member for Harrow, East (Mr. Dykes) our proposals for legislation on public transport, including proposals for allowing greater scope for private sector competition. We have been open to approaches from the trade unions as from other bodies since that date and we should be happy to have any comments which they wish to make on the Bill.
