HC Deb 19 November 1982 vol 32 c296W
Mr. Alton

asked the Secretary of State for Defence if, in view of the facilities offered to Falkland war widows, he will make finance available to First and Second World War widows who wish to visit their husbands' graves.

Mr. Wiggin

No. The facilities we shall be offering to the next of kin of men killed in the Falklands conflict are essentially in line with our normal regulations which permit the next of kin and a companion to visit an overseas grave at public expense, within two years of the burial. This concession was introduced in 1967 when it was decided that it could not be granted retrospectively.
