§ Mr. AlisonAt 9 September, the number of unemployed people registered at employment offices in Liverpool for employment as seamen was 160. The corresponding number for the United Kingdom was 2,944. The figures include deck and engine-room hands (sea-going) and ships' masters, pilots and deck, engineer and radio officers.
