§ Mr. Iain Millsasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he intends the Housing and Building Control Bill to require charitable concerns such as the National Agricultural Central housing association to sell all present and future dwellings.
§ Mr. StanleyNo. Clause 2 of the Housing and Building Control Bill only extends the right to buy to those secure tenants of charitable housing associations and trusts whose individual homes were provided with the benefit of housing association grant. Tenants of such associations and trusts whose dwellings were provided with charitable funds or with the aid of grants other than housing association grant would not have the right to buy under the Bill.
