§ Mr. Iain Millsasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make a statement on his representations at the European Economic Community Council of Transport Ministers on car space-saver tyres.
§ Mrs. ChalkerAn EC draft directive on tyres, which included a proposal on this type of tyre was discussed by the Commission and member States in 1979, but no proposal was put to the Council of Ministers.
The subject is currently being considered under the auspices of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.
