§ 33. Mr. Tom Clarkeasked the Secretary of State for the Environment when the Government propose responding to the Select Committee on the Environment's inquiry into methods of financing local government, H.C.217 of Session 1981–82, published in July 1982.
§ Mr. KingThe report of the Environment Committee was published on 9 September. The Government are considering their response in the light of consultation on the Green Paper and will reply as soon as possible.
