Member for Glasgow, Maryhill, if he will give an analysis of the main employment categories in the year 1981–82 which were beneficiaries of the employment transfer scheme.
§ Mr. AlisonIn the year from 1 April 1981 to 31 March 1982, 5,367 people benefited from the employment transfer scheme. Comprehensive statistics on their occupations are not available in the form requested. However, an analysis of the occupations of a sample of the people benefiting from the scheme in 1981–82 suggests that the beneficiaries were roughly divided among broad employment categories as follows:
