§ Dr. VaughanNo. It is already an offence under section 11 of the Trade Descriptions Act for a trader to give any indication that goods are being offered at a price less than their actual price. I have recently asked my officials to undertake a comprehensive review of section 11 of the Trade Descriptions Act and of the bargain offers order and to consider proposals for new primary legislation. It would not be appropriate to impose new requirements until this review has been completed.
