§ Mr. WaldegraveFurther detailed consideration is being given to whether the provisions of paragraph 6 of schedule 3 to the Education (Mandatory Awards) Regulations 1982 satisfactorily achieve the intention that payments of life insurance premiums which are subject to income tax relief will be deducted in calculating residual income for the purposes of assessing the parental contribution to a mandatory award. I shall write to the hon. Member when this work is complete.
