§ Mr. Beithasked the Prime Minister if she will now answer questions relating to contingency plans for the transaction of business in the event of Civil Service staff disputes.
§ The Prime MinisterIt is the responsibility of each Government Department to prepare contingency plans to maintain its business in the event of industrial action. Departments have a range of contingency plans which are reviewed in the light of experience, but it would be inappropriate to give details of these plans.
