The numbers of redundancies, in groups of 10 or more employees, reported to the Manpower Services Commission as due to occur in the Bury and Radcliffe local office areas between May 1979 and April 1982, inclusive, are 2,900 and 1,835, respectively, including provisional figures for March and April 1982.
The number of firms in which these redundancies occurred is not available except at disproportionate cost.
