§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Prime Minister, in view of statements made on BBC 1 television news broadcasts on Monday 17 May, if she is satisfied that no statements have been made without ministerial authority to the press or broadcasting media by civil servants about their views on the policy of Her Majesty's Government on the Falkland Islands.
§ The Prime MinisterGovernment spokesmen are authorised to speak for Ministers. I am not aware of any reports emanating from Government spokesmen carried on recent BBC television news broadcasts which do not accurately reflect Government policy.
