§ Mr. Steenasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will seek to amend the tenants' charter provisions of the Housing Act 1980, so as to establish a code of practice for housing authorities which would set minimum standards for the treatment of elderly and sick tenants to include provisions relating to the proper treatment of such tenants when their homes have been rehabilitated.
§ Sir George YoungNo. This is a matter of housing management for which the local authorities are responsible, but I would expect authorities to be sympathetic to the needs of elderly and sick tenants.
